About Us & Our Philosophy

ReFresh Your Step is a “refreshing” take on coaching—while we use the traditional coaching methods and techniques, we are breaking new ground with our niche of choice. All of the coaches at ReFresh Your Step are young professionals who specialize in helping other young professionals navigate the crazy world of jobs, family and personal goals.

A backbone of our philosophy is the notion of “balance-based” coaching: we believe in the importance of stability between careers, family and personal interests and work with our clients to find that equilibrium. Concurrently, we help each client to define and establish individual goals while using his or her own capabilities and resources as a starting point for achieving higher levels of success.

As each coach has been out in the “real” world for at least a few years, we know what it’s like to graduate from school and be a little unsure of how to navigate through finding a job, figuring out what to do when the first job is not what you want to do, dealing with difficult bosses, long hours and everything else that goes into the first several years out of school.

The coaches at ReFresh Your Step are keenly aware of how bleak the job market is today and is expected to be for the foreseeable future. For this reason alone, we believe that it is vital to have a bit of extra guidance as well as someone to teach essential strategies and techniques for getting ahead in the career world.
