Jonathan David

Jonathan, born in Brooklyn and then raised on Long Island, NY, attended the University of Michigan (go Blue!) where he majored in Organizational Studies. In addition to his undergraduate work, Jon earned his MBA in May 2008 from the New York University Stern School of Business and is in the process of completing the Professional Development Program at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

Following graduation from Michigan, he returned to his native New York and began a career with Lehman Brothers. While there, Jon was fortunate in that he was able to experience a number of different divisions and positions within the firm in hopes of finding a long-term career fit before deciding that his strong interest was in real estate.

In January 2007, Jon began working as an associate within Lehman Brothers’ Global Real Estate Group and gravitated towards hospitality-focused deals soon thereafter; unfortunately, the real estate finance market began drying up in August 2007.

Jon left Lehman Brothers in March 2008 and has since relocated to the Atlanta area, where he is now working at TriMont Real Estate Advisors where he oversees a portfolio of investments backed by hotels  as part of the Hospitality Asset Management team.
  
Jon’s unique experiences in the business world along with his perseverance in shaping a career path amid an extremely difficult environment have helped shape his perspective on the importance of people finding a truly inspiring career while maintaining a close connection to personal interests. Additionally, as he spent a lot of time networking, speaking with advisors and helping others find their way in the corporate world, he is committed to doing the same for others.
